Tailored British Sign Language Course

These bespoke trainings are designed to exactly match the needs of your individual business or organisation, no matter what the sector. Length and content of the trainings is flexible and led by you and your requirements, and can also be combined with a Deaf Awareness training module.
The course is primarily aimed at providing fit-for-purpose BSL skills to staff in customer-facing roles working in areas such as service provision, retail and community engagement. As the number of staff and public workers equipped with BSL skills increases, we hope to see a widespread reduction in communication barriers between them, deaf people and sign language users
How is the course organised?
SignForward can deliver the course at your venue after agreeing times and dates, or suggest/provide alternative locations. During an initial meeting with your company or organisation we will make initial suggestions regarding timescale and the topics and content the course should cover, with contributions and amendments from you. Once agreed, after a short preparation period the course can begin.
Topics covered will typically involve general customer service dialogue to enable staff to deal with enquiries from BSL users. Of course every company and organisation has individual needs, so we’ll look closely at what your service provides and co-create the relevant material.
